My name is Ryan Tempest,
and I am an architect
and artist based in Phoenix, Arizona.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Michigan, just outside of Detroit. I’ve been drawing my entire life but when it came time to choose a career path, I followed my passion for architecture.
Now, when I’m not designing buildings, you can find me out in the city or at the coffee shop drawing. My inspirations are the city and nature, two things seemingly incompatible and yet, secretly symbiotic. As such, much of my work centers around urban architecture and animals (birds in particular). I’ve always loved nature and if I wasn’t an architect, I would probably be a biologist.
Current mediums include pen & ink, marker, pastel, and colored pencil.
I studied architecture at Arizona State University and received a bachelors of science in design architectural studies. I am currently a licensed architect practicing at Gould Evans.
